Hello folks and welcome to my website!
I am a ukulele player and tragic from Tasmania, a small island under Down Under. I live with my wife and children on a hobby farm in the middle of the bush and terrorize school kids every other day. I have been passionate about music since I could hear: it is a language beyond words, offering inspiration, solace, relaxation, transformation and pure joy. And nothing does it better for me than the humble ukulele.

Butterfly Bandito is my alias: a wannabe wild west hero masquerading as a ukulele player who specialises in making a public dummy of himself with ukulele in hand :^)
The content of the channel is essentially old-time music from 1800's to the mid 1900's, with an emphasis on jazz, showtunes, standards, blues and traditional folk music arranged for ukulele, as well as a few songs your children may actually have heard of. Periodically I will have new PDF songsheets available to accompany the videos and to help you learn the songs. If there's one you're particularly interested in, just send me a message and I'd be happy to transcribe it and pass the chords and lyrics on to you, even film a tutorial if it would help. Check in often as I'm constantly learning and recording new material. |
